Objective: The Cincinnati offices of Frost Brown Todd LLC house 350 employees and occupy seven floors of prime real estate in the city's downtown. The secretaries on two floors at the firm were in need of an upgrade to their workstations which consisted of metal desks with laminate surfaces. Storage and workspace were both lacking. Tricia DiLonardo, Director of Administration-Cincinnati and Jason Woods, Facilities Manager, who led the project, wanted to create a corporate standard for the workstations so they could seamlessly move furniture without disrupting the look. |
Project and Products: Frost Brown Todd had one floor of workstations in place and wanted the new furniture to closely match it. They also wanted to provide comfortable, ergonomically designed furniture that would be functional and aesthetically pleasing. One of the challenges of the project was making the furniture work within the fixed spaces because no changes were being made to the floor layouts. The new workstations had to be flexible and versatile to adapt to a variety of locations. The ability to have taller panels was also important to creating workspaces with a degree of privacy.
Throughout the relationship, OstermanCron has provided furniture in the following areas:
|
Why the furniture worked:
The wood finishes of the Cetra workstations integrated perfectly into the rich wood tones found throughout the offices, and the fabric on the panels created an earthy, warm accent. The employees appreciate the upgraded furniture, especially the additional storage and work surfaces. The flexibility of the Cetra systems enabled the firm to settle on a corporate standard that will simplify moves and future growth. Why OstermanCron?: Frost Brown Todd had worked with OstermanCron in the past to furnish private offices with Kimball Definition. Based on this experience, OstermanCron was included in the bidding process for upgrading the two floors of systems furniture. "OstermanCron clearly stood out as the best choice. We got the furniture we wanted - including upgrades to the fabric - for the best price," commented Tricia. "And we already knew they were great to work with." |
Installation and Moving: As one of the premier law firms in the area, upgrading two floors of office workstations required a great deal of planning and coordination to minimize disruption and downtime. Wessels Workplace Services installed each floor in under one week. "The installation was extremely smooth. Even some of the attorneys commented about the speed, efficiency and cleanliness of the Wessels crew," concluded Jason. Design: OstermanCron |
