Objective: The support staff for the Hamilton Branch of The Lane Public Library was eager to move out of cramped quarters into newly constructed space. The 24,000 square foot location would house nearly 40 people in administration, public relations, and bookmobile departments - bringing them all into one functional space compared to the existing disjointed and multi-location set-up.
The new building was modern and progressive and the furnishings needed to reflect that personality. The bright and airy design needed to have impact and longevity, all within a tight budget and time frame. |
Project and Products: Bringing the support staff into a new workspace meant designing for their day-to-day workflow. Many of the employees had been working out of make-shift, cramped work areas that were not very functional. The office furniture selection allowed the library to build out highly functional spaces that were also fun, bright and inviting.

Why the furniture worked: The furniture selections were playful, light, and clean, complimenting the open space of the new building. The sleek designs plus the custom fabrics and finishing details enabled the team to create a distinctive environment. OstermanCron worked closely with the customer and the designer to achieve the desired outcome -- a vibrant space in which the employees are thriving.
