Objective: When VonLehman + Company outgrew its office space for the third time in just five years, they viewed the move in the Fall of 2005 as an opportunity to create a warm and open workspace that would be inviting to both employees and clients. They moved just down the street from their old offices in Blue Ash, OH, into a newly constructed office building that doubled their space. The new office space has a modern and airy feel to it; VonLehman wanted their furnishings to compliment the feel of the building.

Project and Products: VonLehman had some existing furniture that was still highly functional. One of the challenges of the project was integrating the old with the new to create a cohesive look throughout the workspace.

OstermanCron provided new furniture solutions in the following areas:
  • 14 Kimball Office Xsite workstations
  • Five private offices in National
  • Large conference room table from CNN with seating by Keilhauer
  • Table and chairs in small meeting room
  • Breakroom table and chairs
  • Seating
  • High-density storage
  • Filing
Many of the existing pieces were used and others were donated to VonLehman's non-profit clients.
Why the furniture worked: Overall, the fabric and finishes that were available across product lines helped merge the existing furniture with the new to create a unified look throughout the space. In addition, the smooth design, colors, fabric choices and functionality of the Xsite workstations have been well received.

Why OstermanCron?: Interior design firm Terry-DeRees Associates recommended OstermanCron based on their experience with OC in other successful projects. After a competitive review, it was a combination of value, product, knowledge, and trust that led Vicki Kemme and her team at VonLehman to select OC.

Installation and Moving:
Wessels Workplace Services moved and installed the project under an intense deadline. VonLehman had a previous working relationship with Wessels and they came through again. "The OC - Wessels combination is fantastic. You really can't tell where one company ends and the other begins. They work seamlessly together," concluded Vicki.
