The Challenge: A national, not-for-profit health care organization needed to consolidate its Louisville and Cincinnati offices into a new 30,000 square foot site in Northern Kentucky.

The client was transitioning from older office space with private offices to an open office plan. A key element to the success of the project was selecting furniture that updated the company's image and portrayed a feeling of strength and warmth. The client and Design Details, the commercial interior design firm on the project, felt strongly that an abundant use of wood would help achieve this objective.
Beyond Aesthetics: Pricing, dealer capabilities, ease of installation and reconfiguration, and electrical capabilities/cabling capacity were all priorities in the furniture selection criteria.

The Solution: OstermanCron effectively combined wood, metal and laminate finishes in a cost effective package.

OstermanCron listened carefully to the objectives of the client. The flexibility of Cetra, Interworks and Traxx systems from Kimball Office enabled OstermanCron to configure a systems furniture solution that achieved all of the client's objectives including using a maximum amount of wood finishes.

In addition to supplying 100 workstations, OstermanCron also outfitted 30 private offices and provided free standing furniture for the entire two-floor project, effectively creating a cohesive look across the entire organization.

"In addition to offering the best overall furniture solution, the client was equally impressed with the level of service from both OstermanCron and Wessels - OstermanCron's installation partner.

The client appreciated the size of both companies, their track-record of highly successful projects, and their focus on personalized service," commented Pam Irvin, principal at Design Details, Inc. "In the end, the client was extremely pleased with the outcome of the new space."
